In collaboration with French NGO Dessine L’espoir, Lanvin launched a set of dolls aimed at helping HIV stricken families of Swaziland. Entirely hands sewn by Swazi women, the dolls were adorned with exactly the same outfits as the Resort 2012 Lanvin kids collection, personally designed by Alber Elbaz.

To provide job opportunities to local Swazi families, Lanvin has used fabric rather than the usual ceramic to create the set of 4 dolls, which would come for US$400 each.

The Miss Lanvin dolls have been one of Alber Elbaz’s series of effort to rejuvenate Lanvin. 4 collections have come out since its collaboration with Franz, the Taiwanese ceramics maker, slowly turning into one of the staples of the  celebrated fashion house.
