»»Victoria’s Secret ‘Angel’ supermodel Miranda Kerr might leave the brand due to the newest report of Greenpeace? In the Greenpeace release the ‘Toxic Threads: The Big Fashion Stitch Up’ report, there are 20 sample brands that ran through the tests of Greenpeace. While none of them clear their name with “nontoxic” brad, the lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret has found to have 50% of the products consist such dangerous chemical. In the report, “A total of 141 items of clothing were purchased in April 2012 in 29 countries and regions worldwide from authorized retailers. The chemicals found included high levels of toxic phthalates in four of the garments, and cancer-causing amines from the use of certain azo dyes in two garments. NPEs were found in 89 garments (just under two thirds of those tested); showing little difference from the results of the previous investigation into the presence of these substances in sports clothing that was conducted in 2011. ” As the supermodel being owns an organic skincare line, KORA Organics, and regularly advocates the use of naturally-sourced ingredients in both food and beauty products in interviews, she is also the global ambassador for Earth Hour, the environmental initiative in partnership with WWF, and has also pledged to offset her carbon footprint. Will she leave the brand due to the differences of beliefs? Neither Victoria’s Secret nor Miranda Kerr has respond to Greenpeace’s report.««
